missingWrote a review on 19 Decnoise disruption
The A/C unit operated poorly, only reaching a low setting, leaving the room uncomfortably hot at night. An early-morning ruckus from seagulls outside was disruptive, which made using the open window strategic but problematic. The view from my room faced neighboring houses, not particularly scenic. Additionally, I noticed cleanliness issues in the washroom with hair on the floor, which was disappointing. Plus, essentials like shampoo and tea/coffee needed to be requested instead of being replenished automatically, which felt a bit inconvenient.

The location of Artika Hotel made exploring Istanbul a breeze. Just a short walk to the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque, it felt like home in the heart of the city. The staff were incredibly welcoming and provided excellent recommendations. My room was spotless with a modern bathroom and amenities like a minibar, which I appreciated. The optional breakfast, though I didn’t partake, seemed popular among other guests. However, my room got quite hot at night. the A/C was underwhelming, forcing me to open the windows. This led to noisy disturbances early in the morning from the seagulls. Additionally, the toilet paper holder in my room was loose, which detracted from the overall experience, suggesting that some small repairs are needed. Also, parking was a hassle without hotel provisions. the nearby private parking came at a premium of 20 euros per day. Still, for the location and hospitality offered, I believe the hotel is a solid choice for travelers.

The great location made exploring nearby attractions effortless, with a beautiful rooftop view of the Bosphorus that enhanced our experience. The breakfast offerings were diverse and satisfying, from various cheeses to sweet Turkish delights, but the options were somewhat limited due to the hotel size. A downside was the inconsistent air conditioning, which left for uncomfortable nights due to warmth, compounded by some street noise early in the morning. Additionally, the bathroom cleanliness left something to be desired, needing improvement for a more comfortable stay.

The air conditioning unit in my room was underwhelming, making it uncomfortable at night, especially when combined with the noise from the seagulls outside.

Central location with a cozy atmosphere
My stay was enjoyable, thanks to the cozy family room that had ample space for everyone, and it was conveniently connected with two bathrooms. The breakfasts were a delightful spread with lots of options, and the hotel staff, especially Mustafa, went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. However, navigating the steep hill to the hotel might be challenging for some guests.

Just a commendable fit for a weekend break in Istanbul with good value for the cost. The front desk was helpful in arranging a taxi for us when our transfer didn't show up. Make sure to have local currency ready for transportation needs.
